Applications' documents, fees, and processes
Documents and ways to apply
Each application has to contain all the documents listed in the pertinent Program Requirements in the Education menus.
The applications have to be submitted to the SFU Admissions Office by:
email to admissions@sfuniversity.org
or
by registered mail (see Contact).
Upon receiving the application, the confirmation of receiving it will be sent by email to the applicant together with the bank account information for application fee payment. Only after receiving all the documents and payment for the application, the application will be reviewed by the Admisssion Committee.
The decision will be rendered and submitted promptly to the applicants.
Deadlines to apply
Please see the calendar. Apply at least a couple of weeks before the first day of each quarter to ensure timely review of your application. The SGUGC continues with rolling admissions every quarter.
Timing of the decision on an application
Confirmation of receiving a complete application will be sent by email together with the bank account for application fee in 24h from the time of receiving the application.
The decision of admission to the Program will be emailed within a week from the day of receiving the application and application fee, whichever comes later.
The SFU reserves the right to request additional documents or to verify the submitted documents.
San Francisco accommodation request
Single and double occupancy bedrooms are available in the SFU dorm that is also furnished with a kitchen, study room, internet, WiFi. Please request in the application if interested.
Visa application help request
Upon acceptance of the applicant, the SFU may issue the letter to this effect addressed to the US Immigration. This is usually a sufficient document for applying for a visa to the USA.
Application costs
Non-refundable costs of applications to the SFU Programs are for:
Master of Science (M.S.) Program: USD 100 per application;
Philosophy Doctor (Ph.D.) Program: USD 150 per application;
The application fee has to be submitted to the SFU bank accout provided upon receving a complete application.
The application costs will be deducted from the tuition of the accepted applicants.
